The "Energy for Life Burkina" project aims to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of 6 communes of Burkina Faso. In each of these 6 communes, 2 villages were selected to access a better quality of life: energy availability, increase in production capacity, improvement of people and municipalities’ incomes, etc.

The aim therefore is to create jobs, help increase existing revenues, improve the quality of public services and establish a framework for sustainable development of municipalities in harmony with the environment (particularly in connection with the preservation of natural resources and the fight against deforestation).
The use of renewable energy equipment will also participate in efforts to reduce greenhouse gases emissions, which contribute to diminish the effects of climate change.
12,000 people will be affected by this project. This will be mainly active low income households in the agricultural sector. Based on their needs, techniques and technologies will be developed or adapted related to energy saving (improved stoves), production of biogas, or lighting by photovoltaic equipment installation.
It will also be a network of craftsmen whose skills will be strengthened in the field of renewable energy
